Students may start classes any Monday, except for Examination Preparation classes which have set start dates. The school is only closed on NZ Public Holidays, and for the 2 week Christmas and New Year Holiday, which for 2024/25 is 21 December to 05 January. Public Holidays are: Monday 29 January, Tuesday 06 February, Friday 29 March, Monday 01 April, Thursday 25 April, Monday 03 June, Friday 28 June, Monday 28 October.
Students must pass a pre-test for all exam preparation courses, and the format of the class depends on the number of successful applicants. The course may include a combination of group and private tuition; students will be notified of the format prior to the start of the course. The school is an Authorised TOEIC Testing Centre.
If students wish to withdraw from their course after it has started the school is required to operate a refund policy which conforms to New Zealand Government rules, which state: Courses three months or more: If the course is of three months duration or more and the withdrawal occurs up to the end of the tenth working day after the start of the course, the PTE may deduct up to 25 per cent of the fees paid, provided the PTE incurred costs to this amount and can justify these costs. Courses five weeks or more but less than three months: If the course is of five weeks or more but less than three months and the withdrawal occurs up to the end of the fifth day after the start of the course: In such cases, the PTE must pay an amount equal to the fees paid less a deduction of 25 per cent. Courses under five weeks: If the course is under five weeks and the withdrawal occurs up to the end of the second day after the start of the course: In such cases, the PTE must pay an amount equal to the fees paid less a deduction of 50 per cent. However, if two days constitutes the full amount of tuition paid for by the student, the PTE may retain 100 per cent of the payment.
These fees are correct at time of publication however are subject to change. Please note that where services are provided by third parties (For example shuttle bus transfers, test fees, student residence) prices are subject to change beyond our control.
